ADISA

Talking about ADISA implies the effort of many people in the community who actively participated in its foundation. To do so, it is important to know the historical context in which its foundations were developed and the great achievement that the constitution of an Association that looks after the development of San Antonio Ilotenango and other communities in the west of the country represents for the community. 

San Antonio Ilotenango is one of the twenty-two municipalities that make up the department of El Quiché and is located in the southwestern part of the department. Historically, this municipality was hit by a wave of violence in the seventies and eighties as a result of the internal armed conflict, with the community suffering greatly from a crisis of violence, on a smaller scale than other municipalities in Quiché.
